Galley Worktop

Has anyone ever replaced their galley worktop? The formica on ours has started to lift, and so we (I!) have decided to replace it. It is obvious that the galley unit was built first, and the rest of the Sigma built round it given what I have had to remove so far just to get to the worktop - bulkhead lining, companionway surround, both fitted cupboards. Has anyone else attempted this, and if so how did you do it? There appears to be no way of removing the worktop without breaking the whole galley out, so it looks like peeling the formica off is the only solution?

Have now removed the Formica (without breaking it so I now have a perfect pattern!), and can confirm that screws are now visible, but looks like only the 4 keeping the cool box in place. The whole galley until was obviously made upside down in a workshop.
