Hamble Winter Series 2013

Post by kusima » Fri Sep 06, 2013 9:54 pm

Dear fellow Solent Sigma Sailors

With albeit great weather this summer, we have struggled to use the boat enough due to work commitments. We have therefore decided to stay afloat and enter the Hamble Winter Series - 8 races between 6th Oct and Dec.

Anyone else thinking of joining in? There is I believe 1 other Sigma 33, so that makes 2 of us. If there are 8 boats we'll have our own class start etc.

Interested? Google Hamble Winter Series.

We are far from competitive but going for the fun. We will be sailing with our cruising main, as the wife has banned further expenditure this year on the boat :(

Great Keith

Let me know. The deadline I understand is the 20th Sept to benefit from the early bird entry fee - £150 for all 8 races.

Might see you out on the water, we'll be the chaps at the back :)

brilliant news - We have nothing fancy and will be using the cruising main - We need an excuse for our general appalling performance. Wooden spoon here we come :D

If we have 3/4 boats already surely we can jolly up at least 4/5 other boats and have our own start and see a resurgence of the class on the south coast??
Where are all those boats that do CW and Rti.??? :?

Keith
That's still a decent sailing fix up to early December and you won't be looking out the window wishing you were sailing
